Blessed be thou, Lord God of Israel, for ever and ever. All that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine. All things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee. [Book of Common Prayer, p.74; from 1 Chronicles 29: 10, 11, 14]
The health and well-being of Holy Trinity is created by generosity: gifts of time, talent and money by parishioners and friends of the parish. There are almost as many ways to volunteer at Holy Trinity as there are parishioners. Our worship and outreach, the maintenance of our building and property, the development of our children and the financial affairs of the parish are all sustained and shaped by parishioners and friends of the parish. Holy Trinity is a ever evolving set of relationships shaped by love and care of God, neighbour and ourselves.
The point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work... You will be enriched in every way for your great generosity, which will produce thanksgiving to God through us [2 Corinthians 9: 6-8, 11]
